Our mission

To provide strong connections with quality and networking

Team Driver was founded in 2022 by three friends, Charles, Anthony & Camilla. They saw a need for a more efficient and user-friendly platform to connect truck drivers and companies. Charles used to drive a lorry, but quickly quit on his own as he missed connecting with colleagues.   

Team Driver reached out to their personal network of truck drivers and quickly realised the potential for a larger scale solution. Today, Team Driver is a platform with a growing user base and a dedicated team working to revolutionise the transport industry.

The idea and development

Team Driver - formerly known as Truck Buddy - was founded in 2022 by three friends, Charles, Anthony & Camilla, and started as a school project.

Danish Entrepreneurship Championships

In the Social Entrepreneurship category, the group Truck Buddy from Aarhus Business Academy won with their community platform to improve the working environment for truck drivers

Aarhus students win major entrepreneurial competition

Wednesday, November 29, 2023 awarded first place in the Grow Up competition for higher education students at Denmark's largest entrepreneurship festival.

From Truck Buddy to Team Driver

At the end of 2023, we decided to change our name to Team Driver. We did this to include the entire transportation industry, as the app is not just for one type of driver.

20th February 2024Launch

Launch of the app

On February 20, 2023, Team Driver released the first version of the app on Google Play and the App Store - later it was also launched as a web version.

August, 2024Innofounder

In August 2023, Team Driver received funding from Innounder to further develop the platform

November 2024Entrepreneur of the year

Entrepreneur of the year

Team Driver was awarded the title of Entrepreneur of the Year 2024. The Entrepreneur of the Year Award was chosen by the Ministry of Business and the Entrepreneurship Foundation. The award was presented by Minister for Business Morten Bødskov and Christian Vintergaard, Director of the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship.
